The Ferrier is a large modernist housing estate in South London. Built in 1970, it quickly developed a reputation as one of the worst and most deprived estates in Britain. Work has started to completely demolish it and replace it with a billion pound new development.

I first became aware of the estate through the stories from a friends junkie ex boyfriend that lived there. I passed the numerous tower blocks while driving to my girlfriends house and eventually my curiosity drew me in to have a closer look and I was immediately struck by its swing between the ugly and the beautiful.
